Favorite thing about teaching
Every class is different and every student has different successes, challenges, and perspectives. I get learn something new every class.
Favorite TV Show
I don't really have a favorite show. If my TV is on, most of the time it's for background noise (when I'm not playing music or listening to NPR).
It would have to be something '90s like Clerks or The Big Lebowski, or goofy '80s stuff like Airplane! or Ghostbusters. I love the classic comedies that make you laugh 'til you cry even if it's the 50th time you've seen it.
Another thing I don't really have a fave of at the moment. When I do find time to read, it's exclusively non-fiction, and most of time whatever I'm reading will mention something I'd like to know more about, so I look it up on Wikipedia and end up down a multi-day rabbit hole. I guess favorite book is Wikipedia...
(Beside pole dancing) I run, a lot. I love music and singing. I spend too much time on my computer yet don't play video games or code cool things nearly as much as I'd like to. My dogs are awesome (most of the time). And I try to be outside as much as possible when it's warm and sunny, preferably on a nice patio enjoying cold drinks with good friends.
Favorite Place to Travel
The places I haven't been. The world is huge and there are so many places that I haven't explored. Although, I am partial to warm places with nice beaches.
I declared 5 majors before I graduated from college. I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up, maybe someday I'll figure it out.
"Remember to breathe" - Shouted by a random spectator about 100 yards from the finish line of my 2nd marathon, nearly 4 years later and I can still hear his voice like it was yesterday.
